I think - unless you're very hardened/jaded.
It could've been made to be a bit like Seven (Pitt/Freeman), but they've managed to balance the morbidity with lots of warm and mature buddy humour and romance. Something for everyone, but will appeal most to mature audiences. It's an intelligent drama, not an action-thriller. No magic realism, but there are many lines drawn to Argentina's recent past as a violent fascist junta-ruled regime (76-83, Videla), and bounces back in time from before that and all the way up to the around the 1999 or so.. (if I wasn't mistaken). Chronology is effortless to keep up with, although present-day (or '99-ish) is interspersed at intervals all along.
