Curious info for those numbers-obsessed: [IRNM2] made roughly 20% less than [ALCNW] in its opening weekend in Brazil
Alice in Wonderland made 10.6 million reais ($6 million) on the April 23 weekend
Iron Man 2 made 8.5 million reais ($4.7 million) on the April 30 weekend
I'm not saying the same will happen in US - I particularly doubt that - but it's interesting to note the 3D effect on some movies. Anyway, Brazil has always been friendly with kids-oriented movies.
