Personally, I disagree. There is no room big enough to watch Tenet, unless it's the size of the Irvine Spectrum IMAX. On a TV? NO.
Same with A Quiet Place. that screening was ALL ABOUT THE AUDIENCE. The total silence, the movie was about sound's relationship with an audience. Watching that at home, by yourself. Again, NO.
The Great Beauty. The first time i saw it was with an audience, and it was a beautiful thing. you could feel the power in the room. That's what movies do. They don't do that on an audience of one. No.
There is a total time and place to watch movies at home alone. But that makes film watching a much, much more limited thing.
