and the 2021 Pandemic destroyed...the 2017 pandemic. (you're comparing the worst Oct. of the 10 years before that, its worse than....
every Oct except 2 going back to 2007.) Even with blockbuster Summer films....going in October...and still 150M worse than 2018 and 200M+ worse than 2019, the last 2 years before the pandemic. If the BO was anywhere near healthy...having Summer block buster films for a full month...should get you way way way more than what we are seeing. But there is some slow trickle of improvement but...gonna be long............................time.
Oct 2017 2nd best film was...Happy Death Day. followed by later weeks of IT, Boo2 a Madea Halloween, and later weeks of American Made. Compared to...huge Summer blockbuster films...if it was a "normal" Oct slate here...kindof like what we saw this weekend....it would be monumentally lower, showing major problems persist. Imagine if you didn't have....Venom 2 + Dune....its not a normal comp w Summer blockbusters going, and still...not so great.

VENM2, HALW4, JB25 and DUNE were never scheduled for Summer. They were all originally dated for Fall. {nm} Nov 01, 10:39
Dune was for Nov./Dec hollidays and Bond Nov, not Oct. They are not usually in Oct....and...the pandemic.....long way to go... Nov 01, 11:03
