pretty much universally it should be downplayed and shunned, leaving its only pitiful rewards to be the incredible hard money infusions that its popularity derives and the aclame that is given by the mass of people who find these things to be the pinical of art?
At that point aren't you leaving it up to the Kids Choice Awards to speak for the majority? Wouldn't it make more sense to bring more of that outright commercial power into things like the Oscars and improve their ratings and income, improve their diversity, and improve their winning choices to more appropriately reflect what is actually appreciated by the average person vs some of the artsy choices that will be seen and admired by less than the number of people that voted for them.
I keep seeing that the Oscars are being driven not by quality and more by the investment into the campaigns for Oscars. Do you really want a world where the Fergie cult of personality decides that they want to win and are willing to invest finacially more directly (than harsh interview comments) to committing the necessary resources to win.
They wouldn't change the name to the Mickey Mouse awards instead of it just being what it is today.
