Gist, they had been ok with their arrangements for BLACK WIDOW and it made things unnecessarily complicated for their future Disney/Fox negotiations. So they asked NATO to stand down going forward and if they felt it was necessary they would come to NATO.
As much as they were not super thrilled about 30 days on ENCANTO, it's a vastly better scenario than no theatrical runs at all or Premiere day and date.
Still not super optimistic that TURNING RED will be a standard theatrical release, Bob the 2nd more or less hinted that until the family film audience regained strength they would continue experiments. They are also hard up for major Disney+ releases in the first half of 2022.
