I found this film fascinating. The lead performances are off the charts perfect. You don't know where the story is headed. You think you do; you don't.
I read that people were finding this one boring, or an interesting failure. And while i'm not sure whether i completely love it or not (I'm still processing and it's real early), the movie is loaded for bear with details, the color schemes are important, there are seemingly little things that happen in the story (like a character coming home and finding a bird passed away near the front porch and what that character does; seems almost meaningless. NO.) that have serious repurcussions down the road.
And it's haunting thing. The ending is something else.
Saw this at the Spectrum. There were 20 people or so in the theater (that was encouraging), and i'm telling you, everybody in the theater was transfixed until the end. I think it just hooked everyone.
I would love to see this again. I hope I can before it goes away.
PS: For the first time in a generation or so, I took in a huge Rocky Horror Screening last night lol. Crazy to go back and see that again with a full crowd. Bostwick was there doing his shtick. A really fun time.
