AMC CEO believes as many as 30 movies this year could top $100 million at the domestic box office. Antibody Mar 02, 07:50

We got one down so far! I feel pretty confident about 25. 30 seems a stretch to me unless there are lots of sleeper hits. notfabio Mar 02, 09:10

I left Exorcist off pending confirmation that is not getting yeeted to January or Peacock. {nm} notfabio Mar 02, 09:13

"Yeeted"? {nm} DTravel Mar 02, 14:39

Never mind, found out what that means. {nm} DTravel Mar 02, 14:44

As long as he didnt mean fresh 2023 releases we've had 3: AVAT2 PUSS2 ANTM3 with M3GAN missing out by very little (100m unlikely now) Tallwonder Mar 02, 09:41

And that's before the hidden sleeper breakout potential of a few horror films .. Tallwonder Mar 02, 09:44

Yeah it's kind of hard sight unseen to judge a lot of these, obviously 20th/Disney thinks The Boogeyman might which I didn't include. {nm} notfabio Mar 02, 09:49

what matters more is how many $400m movies we will have. We need at least four to be healthy Moviesnob Mar 02, 09:51

There are always big surprises, but I think MARIO & LITTLE MERMAID could do $400m Moviesnob Mar 02, 10:25

Word on LITTLE MERMAID is not great other than McCarthy. Absolutely zero word on MARIO. Marketing for both has very good though. notfabio Mar 02, 10:36

When Melissa McCarthy is the best thing for your movie, you're in trouble. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 02, 11:18

The word oon ALADDIN was bad and it followed DUMBO so everyone thought Disney’s live action strategy had flatlined Moviesnob Mar 02, 11:46
