were shown, line-by-line, to be not good faith counters (when they didn't just reject a given demand outright). and if Ari/Bryan's dealmaking plan is to hang their own writer clients out to dry while getting actors back to work ASAP as revenge for the ATA dispute, then they're not good-faith brokers either.
there was definitely a better-than-DGA but still not great for SAG deal that Carol could have put on the table that Fran would have at least had to take back to the membership. they didn't even try. nobody else is under any illusions that the studios see this as their chance to bust the unions -- they said as much in the Deadline piece. but one would hope the agents weren't throwing their drowning clients an anchor
