To all the employees of HSX ... all those who made this game something very special, I am very sad about this news.
This site ... this game ... is something very special. Although one can understand Cantor's frustration with Congress and the way the entire situation regarding exchange traded futures was handled, one can only hope that there is yet a way to find a product that can be traded. If Congress did not eliminate the market for bank derivates, especially those for the housing market which created the first round of economic turmoil, certainly there is a way to find a new path … a new opportunity for the Cantor Exchange and yes HSX.
As an old bank lobbyist and political strategist one thing you learn in politics is “never say never”. Who knows what the fall elections will bring. My advice, for all those interested in HSX and the Cantor exchange, express your anger and frustration now. People running for election make many more promises then those who have already won. And they tend to keep the ones when they find a loyal support group.
All that said, it certainly does not help those dedicated HSX employees who made this game what it is today. Again, I am sorry for your loss and I do wish you all the very best.
