I can understand where people maybe coming from on Anora, but Act 1 failed me so hard with hatred toward all characters and feeling like it was a influencer, spoiled rich kid montage. I know that is the point, but without any connection with characters or empathy or a story line beyond trying to marry for money, I could not get attached and was more annoyed. I was able to stay to see the story conclude, but again I just ended up basically hating everyone with the obvious exception. I also felt no real arc or morality tale until the last minute of the movie. I would give it a B- with a trigger precursor that it feeds off making you hate people, which increasingly I am uninterested in as part of my escapism, entertainment affair. The flip side with the substance is you have another rich spoiled person, but it is crafted in a way where you achieve empathy so that when people start doing bad things you get it and don't hate them. Ultimately I do applaud both films for being original content and not IP, superhero, or other robotic soulless money grabs.
