I don't know why some reviewers on Netflix went on about wanting a second season, as the series ended where the book ended. I would not expect more. Well, I just found out Follet wrote another book of the middle ages, but, I don't know if it's meant to be a direct sequel.
I don't know why some who had read the book complained about the series not being faithful. From my memory, it was quite faithful, except for a bit of Hollywoodizing at the end, and some of the 1000-page book's detail having been omitted.
