Milestone---$1 BILLION!! May I have my washroom keys, please?
I'm proud to say I made it in about 4.5 years, which I think is relatively fast. There aren't that many ports $1B+ that are younger than mine. In fairness, however, I must note that there are many ports larger than $1B that have grown much, much faster in the past 4.5 years than mine has. Hell, I'm sure Grory has gained $10B (or more!) in the time it's taken me to earn $1B. Obviously, the more $$ you have, the faster you can accumulate more of it. I've also benefited from many of the recent rule changes. For example, I'm rarely on here during the weekends, so the commission-free Saturdays didn't benefit me and eliminating it probably helped me. The increased share volume has certainly helped us all, of course.
This is a fun game. But it's just a game to me...a competitive outlet like fantasy sports. I'm only on here about 10 minutes a day, M-F. I'd love to learn more about how the information that this site generates is actually used by the industry. I suppose that information is available out there somewhere...I just haven't looked for it. Anyway, I couldn't resist this opportunity to say a few words since this is probably the only time anyone will read what I have to say on here! Bon chance, everyone! ;)
