I think your dilemma is a common one. I have found that as my port grows in size, management becomes a nebulous term. I am now around 3.6 billion and I buy just about everything. I used to stop by HSX everyday, but now it's only about 2-3 times a week.
This sounds like a potentially deadly combo, but it's hard to get really burned on a bond if you watch the forum and Genome even a little.
If you have a decent sized portfolio, I think you should lean to the buy everything side even if there is some red every so often. If there are 20 points of profit 4 months out and some traders want to trade the bond down 3 or 4 points for a month (for whatever reason) who cares?
There seem to be more and more marginal (even 6 months off) bonds taking off after adjust. I say better to jump on and forget about the possibility of a month of minor red than to miss the opportunity altogether.
Now this is where time comes in though. If you're getting on every day and want to keep a few notes you can probably squeeze out a few extra points of profit, but is it worth it? Those are the kinds of meta-decisions that add to the game's interest.

I hold about 600 bonds, which covers most of the bonds with an adjust scheduled, as well as potential dead delists. Feb 06, 13:31
