no i dont. He's hinted that he wants to get out before he hits the downturn most filmmakers of his stature hit (Scorsese, De Palma, Coppola)
so i think this and the Vega Brothers idea will probably never happen. He is notorious for changing his mind so it could happen and nothing is ever "dead" in this town. But as of today, doesnt sound likely. Personally, as much as I love it, I think its perfect as a 4 1/2 movie now and with perfection, theres no where to go but down so I'd rather see him focus on getting the Whole Bloody Affair out in release than KB 3. MAYBE THERES A COOL DISTRIBUTOR HE COULD PARTNER WITH?
I also would prefer to see him tackle a straight horror film. Death Proof had the identical structure of a slasher film with a 70's car movie layered on top (and three final girls as opposed to one), but I would love to see him do horror. Rumor is he wants to do another Western. And then books and maybe plays.
I just got back to my desk so will post the poll tomorrow am so get a full day on the front movie page. Already evening on the east coast and early morning in Europe.

while i never wanted a vega brothers, i do hope he has one more great crime drama (ala pulp or reservoir) in him Jul 06, 17:31
