The big question players is not only the change in TAG, but which way to hold the StarBond.....(note the TAG went down but the PRICE went UP
A quick way to estimate the EAP (Est Adju Price) is to subtract the new movie from the old one.
SUIC2 delisted at 52.78 (way lower than the price on Sunday....BOM had the correct number) and it repalced PRSNS (60.96) which meant the total box in the TAG would go down by about 8 points. Dividing by 5, the TAG was destined to go down by 8/5 or about 1.60
You need to have a way to know that number (-1.60) to subtract from the current TAG. I do not have the exact amount but I assume it was about 111.80
The next important question is "WHAT IS THE CURRENT PRICE?" DDAST dropped from 106 to 104 over the weekend, but either way that was LESS than the EAP of 110.25. Therefore the possession arrow was pointing UP.
Suppose the CURRENT price had been about 120? Then the possesion arrow would have been pointing DOWN.
The long or short position is as much dependent upon the CURRENT price as whether the TAG will go up or down.
Remember, the TAG is different from the PRICE.
