You already know what it is going to adjust to, so there is no particular benefit to pick a number higher than that.
I don't know what happens if you put an order in at 39.99 and it adjusts to 20. The stock is "fixed" at that price, so technically you should get the better price, unlike in the real world were such a step-function doesn't happen. :-) I guess you can comment tomorrow after you try it!

if i am wrong and it addjust to 20.01 it wont fill right? if i set at 39.99 will it fill at 39.99 or what it adjusts to Sep 16, 18:39

As long as it is above the adjust, it will execute. You are correct that if it adjusts higher, it won't execute. Sep 16, 20:05
