Like lets take my opinion on your points
1. Durability
AJ Pierzynski is known for 2 things.....being a complete jack@ss that is probably the least like player by his peers and for being a catcher that plays a lot of games by catcher standards. He's played in 134, 138 and 128 from 08-10. Mauer played in 21 more games in that span.
Can you name a catcher that plays 162?
2. Offense
Fantasy baseball is based on offense. A ton of lists before the start of the year had Mauer as 1 of the top 2 catchers in fantasy and probably every list ranked him in the top 4 (With VMart, Poser, and McCann)
3. Power
He had 9 Hr the year after his power breakout (in a pitcher's park) and 9 before....if the Twins paid him based on a career year how is that his fault?
4. He's hurt
Not a good basis to declare anything. Buster Posey is crap right just b/c his final numbers won't match his rookie year?
