I only check Deadline maybe once a month and don't read any of the other industry rags, I just check in occasionally on the Movies board here and sometimes check in to see what kind of nuttiness Finke is putting out there and it works fine for me. I've found that folling the trends HERE (at HSX) rather than following the first reported news is just as successful in terms of making profit at a high level (though not as high as prose like Lobo or Roto).
2M to 100M less than 6 months 2 weeks shows that you actually can do quite well and still be a very casual player. Hopefully you find a good mix of attention paid where you don't burn out and can still stay competitive bud!
