I didn't think of that as a powerful moment ....
I was thinking hey dummy the portal's going to close - shoot him in the head or leave him there but get going!
And why didn't he shoot him in the head when he had the chance. They make a big deal of him going for revenge and then they wimp out.
And that portal time was ridiculous. 1 min is up, Daisy (she's still Skye to me) passes out from trying to keep it open longer. Fitz is yelling that the portal is closing- multiple times (how many seconds was that) - but wait - we have Coulson killing Ward slowly because apparently he has all the time in the world. Then he slowly savors it. Meanwhile May has just destroyed the castle. But somehow Fitz and Coulson still have time to cover that distance and get inside the container.
And even after all the time apparently the portal is still somehow open and IT manges to get inside Ward, cross the distance and get thru the portal without anyone noticing.
