FWIW: what I think

so (i guess) jack helps mib b/c taking that "cork" out makes mib mortal and able to be killed. ok. but how did jack (or more importantly, kate since she took the shot after seeing earlier that bullets did nothing) know that?
Jack knew as soon as he saw Locke bleeding. I'll assume Kate knew when she saw (off-screen) that Jack was actually able to hurt Locke on the cliff.

ben won't move on b/c he still has to 'atone' for what he has done, perhaps?
He probably wants see where things go with Rousseau (sp) and her daughter. Or maybe there's more people he needs to get forgiveness from.

michael was not in the church b/c he is stuck on island as one of the whispering 'lost souls'. i can buy that. never liked him much anyways.

here's a few other random thoughts that still have me confused...

why does sayid end up with shannon when the entire series had us rooting for him and nadia? sort of makes most of his back story invalid.
I think the writers are saying that Heaven is what you make it. Hence, Christian Shepherd's line about "this is a place that you all made." So I guess Sayid loved Shannon more. We don't know what happened to him in his life after the island. Maybe it didn't work out.

where's sun and jin's kid? wouldnt she be part of their life on island that moves on with them just as aaron goes on with claire?
"This is a place that you all made." Sun is pregnant with their daughter. They probably wanted to raise her from birth again. Especially, since Jin missed out.

so kate and sawyer leave and live their lives then eventually die (of old age i can only assume) only to move on with losties? they never married or had kids when they got back that they'd want to be with? then what was the point in leaving?
I guess that's how they wanted their Heaven to be. They could always run into the other people in their lives later on. For sure Kate died of old age. That's why she said to Jack: "I've missed you so much." As in a lot of time has passed.
