The Blue Jays should be in very good shape going into the last game. They'll have had two chances to sew it up at HOME. The Dodgers are simply not hitting. They can't hit their way out of a paper bag at this point. EVERYONE is slumping. Frankly, I still don't even understand how they won Game 6. They got 4 hits in the whole ballgame. Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Yoshinobu. And yet, I doubt he can go back out there tonight, ala Orel Hershiser.
For Game 7, Shohei Ohtani is going to have to start on the mound, and on 3 days rest, in Toronto. He should be tired. The Jays should have this in front of their adoring crowd. We'll see how it turns out.
Congrats to the Dodgers either way. Back in March, everyone was predicting that the Dodgers would break the regular season for victories in a season. It never came close to working out for them, and their season was damn near mediocre. The starting rotation was on the IL for months. The bullpen was taxed in the first half and completely crumbled in the second half. And the offense never really showed up outside of Ohtani. Almost everyone's offensive numbers were far less than both last year or their career averages. A pretty lousy year for them; I'm near shocked they made it to the WS, let alone extended it this far.
Good luck to the clubs and hope it's a memorable Game 7.
