To me, page load time is pretty important. One of the first impressions you get when you visit a website is how fast it loads...
If you didn't come from the old version, and you started playing with this version, do you really think you would stick around? I doubt it. We all keep coming back because we like HSX and know what it can be. We are all hoping it will be as good as the previous version. But new users have no idea what is used to be like. All they would know is how slow it is. The only reason I'm willing to waste so much time waiting for pages to load is that I want to keep playing if the site ever gets better. Most people will get used to the new look. What we want is the old functionality. Look, everyone has to upgrade their technology. It's a never-ending process. But you don't kill your site and piss off all your users in the process. I think the users have a right to voice their opinions of the new site and to let HSX know what a bad job they did.
