Description

The Israeli film The Band’s Visit looks at the delicate cross-cultural relationship with Egypt. An Egyptian police brass band gets stuck in a deserted Israeli town. They accept an invitation to stay from a female hotel manager and learns that their differences don’t always have to keep people apart. Written and directed by Eran Kolirin, the film was a big hit at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
