Sylvester Stallone, a car racing enthusiast, is producing a film that's near and dear to his heart. Driven will focus the drama on the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) circuit and its special brand of open-wheel racing. Renny Harlin directs the action.

Kip Pardue (Remember the Titans) stars as up-and-coming race car driver Jimmy Bly, who is going up against a rival top driver, played by Til Schweiger. Burt Reynolds is the owner of Bly's race car who seeks out Stallone, the veteran driver, to help Bly. Estella Warren plays the girl caught between the rivals.
