Based upon the Robert Harris novel of the same name, Enigma is set in World War II, and chronicles a code-breaker who attempts to infiltrate the German U-boat communications. The code-breaker's plight is worsened by the fact that he suspects his girlfriend of being a Nazi spy.Dougray Scott, Kate Winslet, Saffron Burrows, and Jeremy Northam stars in the thriller.
The unlikely pair of Mick Jagger and Lorne Michaels are producing the film, which has been written by Tom Stoppard and will be directed by Michael Apted. Stoppard won an Oscar in 1999 for his Shakespeare in Love screenplay, while Apted's most recent high-profile project is the 1999 James Bond flick The World Is Not Enough.
