Hector Elizondo began as a dancer trained at the Ballet Arts school of Carnegie Hall, and then moved to the Actors Studio. His first major role was in 1997's "Thieves". In 1982 Elizondo landed a role in the Garry Marshall directed "Young Doctors in Love". His most memorably role came as Barney the hotel concierge in "Pretty Woman". Elizondo has continued to fill roles on the big screen but the majority of his time in the recent past has been playing the role of Dr. Phillip Waters on "Chicago Hope".
