Holly Hunter first snagged the limelight as the center of several offbeat plays including The Miss Firecracker Contest and Crime of the Heart. She made her feature film debut in 1981's The Burning. Hunter got the attention of Hollywood with a starring role in the Coen brothers' comedy Raising Arizona. This led to other starring roles in movies such as Broadcast News, and Always . In 1993, Hunter won an Oscar for The Piano.
