Written and directed by Paul Haggis, Crash examines racism through a multi-ethnic cross section of Los Angeles. Different racial groups and their prejudices are brought together when they literally crash into each other's lives. The film features strong performances from the ensemble cast, particularly Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Terrence Howard and Thandie Newton. Even with an early May release date, distributor Lions Gate has kept the film in contention.
