Sony has unleashed a second trailer for the reboot of Ghostbusters [GHST3]. Melissa McCarthy [MMCCA], Kristen Wiig [KWIIG], Kate McKinnon [KAMCK] and Leslie Jones star as a Columbia University academic, her ghost-chasing friend, the friend's business partner and an MTA employee, respectively, who join forces to save New York from apparitions gone amuck. Ghostbusters powers up in theaters on July 15th.
Walt Disney has uploaded a second, full-length trailer for the feature adaptation of Roald Dahl's The BFG [TBFG]. Steven Spielberg [SSPIE] directs the story about a young girl who is introduced to the world of Giant Country and its inhabitants by a Big Friendly Giant, played by Mark Rylance [MRYLA]. Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, The BFG opens stateside on July 1st.

The Marvel superheroes dropped 59% in its second weekend to advance its total to $295.9 million. The Jungle Book has banked $311.8 million after 5 weekends.

Two new wide releases will brave the sophomore weekend of the fifth best opener of all times, Captain America: Civil War [CAPA3]. Even with strong word of mouth, the superheroes slugfest will likely still decline by more than 50%. Two years ago, Captain America: Winter Soldier fell 57% in its second outing, while last year's The Avengers: Age of Ultron tumbled 59%. A similar drop-off would put Captain America: Civil War at around $77 million.
