investing in the right news is better. A certain stock that had a trailer released early this morning (or was it late yest afternoon? I don't know I'm not in the US) has gone up 25% today. Not 0.25%, 25%. There's no fund on the exchange that can give you a 25% return on investment in less than 24 hours. Of course it may drop again very fast, or at best, its rate of increase will slow down to a degree that you'd be better off selling and moving on to the next day's version of that stock. Of course, if your port is brand new, you couldn't even max that stock out, let alone leave any cash in any other investment at the same time. That's what I mean by there being too many opportunities.

News is where its at. Have a look at the 'todays movers - moviestocks' charts each day to get a sense of what's moving in relation to what events are taking place.

And some of the bonds, shortly before they adjust.
