You can't just buy a stock shooting up in value as a long-term investment without understanding the reason it is shooting up in the first place. If good news comes out about a film, that will tend to push the stock up for a day (maybe two) and then the reset traders and the folks selling their shares will push the price back down and erase some of the gains from the previous day. This is one of the most basic trends in this game.

If you want to make money, take some initiative. Figure out an investment strategy that works for you, and then stick to it for a bit. Spread your portfolio over a large number of investments to ensure that no single mistake costs you millions. Maybe invest in Starbonds to offset some initial losses as you play around with Moviestocks.

You are wasting your time with Movie Mogul and Box Office Battle. If you're going to spend that much time on HSX each day, use it to daytrade based on film news.
