Upper and lower limit refers to the maximum a contract's price can move in one day.
On Cantor Exchange, there are daily price limits. A film contract's price can shift 10% in either direction (up or down) in one day. The limit high price is the maximum price it can hit during that day, and the limit low price is the lowest price. So, if you see "BRUNO has again reached its lower limit, down $8 to $71 on CX", that means the contract has gone down 10% from its starting price for that day. The limit resets each day. The 10% limit prevents wide swings in a contract's price.
