The Company today provided updated financial and operating information on its Sphere segment. Based on the performance of Sphere through
November 30, 2023, as described below, the Company expects that its Sphere segment will report positive adjusted operating income for the fiscal
quarter ending December 31, 2023. Recent Sphere highlights include:
• On September 29, 2023, U2 opened the venue with the start of its multi-month run at Sphere. In light of the strong demand, 15 more U2 shows
have been added in January, February and March 2024, bringing the band’s planned number of performances at the venue to 40 in total.
• Through November 30, 2023, there have been 17 U2 concerts at Sphere. Aggregate tickets sold for those concerts have been
approximately 280,000 (or approximately 16,400 per concert), and those concerts have generated approximately $30.7 million in total
revenue to the Company (approximately $1.8 million per concert).
• The Sphere Experience – a signature content category – debuted on October 6, 2023, featuring Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth. This
original cinematic film has already earned critical acclaim for its captivating visuals and use of the venue’s next-generation, immersive
technologies.
• Through November 30, 2023, there have been 111 showings of Postcard from Earth at Sphere. Aggregate attendance for those showings
has been over 450,000 (or over 4,050 per showing), and those shows have generated approximately $44.5 million in total revenue from
ticket sales (approximately $400,000 per showing).
