I did mention bonds in my post...
But, if you'll note in my inside message I merely suggested new players NOT play bonds UNTIL they learn HOW they adjust... NOT that they can't learn that quickly... but I was also trying to address ways to grow your port the fastest... and next to daytrading - playing openers correctly (that's the trick) is the fastest way to grow your port.
You are right, there are much safer and more secure ways to build your port... but when you have a SMALL port... you want to try to build it quickly (thinking short term) so you have to have ways to do that...and many times, you have to wait for bonds to adjust in 30 days or more (if you want to make much, usually) and there are openers you can play (IF you pick them correctly, which I noted) and make a lot more on those in 3 days...than almost any other way of playing HSX...
