what ive been told is this.. if a stock sells all of its initial shares before the reset then the price moves in accordance with how many longs and shorts and the volume of trading. however if the initial shares arent sold by time of eset, then after the reset the price will changed based on the next transaction. this is how u can have an ipo with 20mil shorts 1 mil long and the next day it go up. someone at midnight traders buy the stock after reset and it pushes price up. sometimes they will short it and it will go down. we had 2 IPO'S tuesday that didnt sell all their initial shares before the reset. 1 went up and 1 went down. depends on what those midnight traders do. I should also note that when it goes up, its usually a short squeeze, meaning it goes back down.
