It seems like anything is possible with this franchise. They keep altering perceptions and timelines. Hell, the second film (again) prevented a robot apocalypse. They'll do anything to keep it going. It doesn't seem like total BS to me.
And for the record, I put a ? after it, because it seems rumor-ish. However, it said that if Schwarzenegger would be a part of it, then it would be sometime this year.
