Depends on how far into the future the film takes place. John Conner went from Nick Stahl to Christian Bale.

It seems like anything is possible with this franchise. They keep altering perceptions and timelines. Hell, the second film (again) prevented a robot apocalypse. They'll do anything to keep it going. It doesn't seem like total BS to me.

And for the record, I put a ? after it, because it seems rumor-ish. However, it said that if Schwarzenegger would be a part of it, then it would be sometime this year.
