I mean "underperform" in the fact that Lionsgate is gunning for an opening in the same range as TWLIT, $60-ish or better,
but that even though the books are very popular with young adults, I can't see an opening north of mid-50's happening, especially with Lionsgate's horrid reputation for marketing. I'm expecting more mid-40's myself, but if it turns out better then I'll eat humble pie. It may turn out to have very good legs, but I think the opening weekend will disappoint the company. I don't mean perform absolutely dismally like SUCKP, I just think traders on here get way overconfident in the box office prospects of big movies like this one and just buy, buy, buy until the stock price way exceeds reasonable estimates for an opening weekend adjust (TGRLW, TINTN, HPYF2, PAND2, CARS2 etc).
