No, I've posted over the past day mathematical scenarios for HGAME's opening, based on facts and past openings/IMs etc.

Posted by: accountant_4_Jesus (a.k.a ) on Mar 20, 02:57 in response to Antibody's post Studios have the data to back it up. You are just making...

Nearly all of the data based on past openings for similar-tracking movies points to an opening lower than the estimate by the rival studios in that article. The only way that it can actually accomplish such a huge gross is if the IM from midnights to opening weekend total is fairly big and the midnight grosses themselves are fairly big. If posting data and possible scenarios is, in your words, "making up excuses", then by all means, I'm guilty. But I honestly don't have to take this crap from you when I've tried to actually use math and facts instead of just blindly following whatever the latest studio predictions are. The studios didn't post any math at all to go with their predictions, they didn't post any historical data comparisons, so how are we expected to actually know that what they're declaring there isn't simply manufactured hype?

THR: Rival studios and other box office observers now believe Hunger Games could potentially gross $130 million to $140 million. H-Mogul Mar 19, 22:10

Serious question: Do rival studios over-estimate movies in the same manner that releasing studios under-estimate? {nm} PVL Admin Mar 19, 22:15

Absolutely. That way, they can make it seem like a rival movie "under-performed" {nm} RupertPupkin Mar 20, 06:53

Nuh-uh. Overestimating without adequate data to back that up, just so they can heap crap on LGF when it doesn't reach that height. {nm} accountant_4_Jesus Mar 19, 22:38

I have done 1:1 tracking comparisons to Dark Knight and Hunger Games isn't even close (esp. among guys) so I call bull. Again. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:13

Again, with the 1:1 bs. Please provide the data for the advance ticket sales numbers. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 00:14

Once again, you put words in my mouth. I didn't say anything about "ADVANCE TICKET SALES" TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:26

After being the contrarian and bashing everyone else's interpretation of the tracking as "hype", we will see if you put your Antibody Mar 20, 00:30

I haven't posted a single prediction here. What I write on the site that pays me to write for them is none of your ****ing business. TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:33

It's my business that you spread one opinion here and then have a completely opposite opinion somewhere else. Antibody Mar 20, 00:42

This is an out and out lie. Again. TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:46

His last post JMT-NL Mar 20, 00:51

And excuse me but why aren't you monitoring others for doing the same? TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:51

No, you don't get it, it's not about anyone's numbers. It's your attitude here, constantly bashing each new info about HGAME's Antibody Mar 20, 00:59

Because it's info that is not properly researched and checked against facts. I have already stated this. TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 01:06

This is my response to the post above it...we've entered the No-Indent Zone. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 01:07

Yes, you said it's all hype, so therefore the box office willl be nowhere near the reported range. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 01:16

I definitely said it's all hype and I still say that this movie is being driven by hype. Don't remember the context for the latter half. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 01:21

If you accuse me of buying the hype, then you can't turn around and join the club later. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 09:31

just gonna leave this here. adrenalin112 Mar 20, 00:46

Carefull... you're letting your arrogant side shine through again. JMT-NL Mar 20, 00:34

It's his arrogance that's the problem here. No one else has to put up with this **** from him so neither will I. {nm} TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:35

No one else does posgt the way you do. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 00:46

See my other response. Plenty of others post numbers and predictions and how they think movies will be huge. TheWeekendWarrior Mar 20, 00:55

Studios have the data to back it up. You are just making up excuses. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 00:22

No, I've posted over the past day mathematical scenarios for HGAME's opening, based on facts and past openings/IMs etc. accountant_4_Jesus Mar 20, 02:57

The studios have a ton more data than you, while you are working off guesses and assumptions. Antibody Mar 20, 09:30

Well what I was basically saying was that maybe in those articles the studios should be required to at least give some hard facts to support accountant_4_Jesus Mar 20, 14:52

If HGAME opens above 100M, no one will say it should have open to 140M. {nm} Antibody Mar 20, 09:38

and boom goes the dynamite {nm} thatpj Mar 19, 22:41

you called it ;-) {nm} JMT-NL Mar 20, 00:59
