industry. We not only benefitted from hearing their leanred opinions but experienced the love they had for cinema - from the most obscure indies(which weren't as obscure after they featured them on At The Movies) to the largest studio releases. I think a lot of us who were in our formative years realized it's OK to be a movie geek! If there's a heaven I hope Roger is sitting dowm to say Hi to Gene and continuing that wonderful lconversation about the world of film that has had such a lasting impact on many of today's movie lovers.

RIP Roger Ebert Antibody Apr 04, 12:42

That's some very sad news. He was a gifted writer and communicator for the medium. {nm} LonePirate Apr 04, 12:47

His last post at Sun Times. "At the Movies" was one main influence that got me into following new releases. Antibody Apr 04, 13:03

His last written words: "Thank you for going on this journey with me. I'll see you at the movies." {nm} Samuel_L_Bronkowitz Apr 04, 13:13

He really loved what he was doing in life, was living with no regrets and example to us all. Fredjet Apr 04, 13:28

A sad day, a loss of a gifted writer and critic. Checked Out Apr 04, 13:37

Mr. Ebert was a great writer, an insightful journalist, an expert reviewer. His work transcended film. I do not expect to see his equal.{nm} DTXbro Apr 04, 14:34

I must have been in junior high when I started watching At the Movies {nm} tealfan Apr 04, 15:53

He was my favorite movie critic and the one I most agreed with. Heaven's gain as Siskel & Ebert resumes Up There. {nm} KalElFan Apr 04, 16:20
