I never understood the low numbers for 300 at the beginning. The original opened with 70 million. The original was all action,
very little plot. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome but it was based on the badass action, popcorn quality entertainment. The sequel appears to be more of the same. Not sure why it would open at 35 to 40% of the original.
