How many years has it been since we have only had ten years to save the planet?

Al Gore said last week that within 5 years all the polar ice would be gone. Before that, he said that if we go down a few kilometers the interior of the earth is several million degrees hot? This guy has made a fortune off of his AGW crap. I'm asking questions, which is now somehow not allowed.

Official estimate for Avatar is $73 million... bout a $19 million short. {nm} secretstalker Dec 20, 07:35

No... it's actually only a $19 short... and yes, I've had my coffee. :) {nm} secretstalker Dec 20, 07:35

damn...thought Christmas came early :D {nm} tealfan Dec 20, 10:10

Damn global warming! {nm} Hooray360 Dec 20, 08:07

The current NE snowstorm is exactly the type of radical climate change that global warming can cause, simpleton. {nm} ryking Dec 20, 09:34

Radical climate change? It IS December and it IS New England so not a huge surprise that they would get some snow!! Relax!! {nm} firefox Dec 20, 09:40

I believe in Global Warming, but I cannot buy that a snowstorm in december in the NORTHeast is because of Global Warming. {nm} Laprawler509 Dec 20, 09:45

Well it certainly isn't Climate Change. As far as I know, they do tend to get snow there from time to time. :) {nm} firefox Dec 20, 09:48

Brace yourself: Your beliefs, formed from ignorance, do not really affect the science. ryking Dec 20, 09:50

Snow in the north-east in winter is usual, sure. But for it to be nearly snowless through the first half of December, then a great big storm RogerMore Dec 20, 10:42

Why the hate? Where's the tolerance for diversity? {nm} edzep Dec 20, 09:50

I have plenty of tolerance for diversity, but not rank stupidity. ryking Dec 20, 09:55

Uh-huh. Too bad we can't limit free speech on all them hillbillies that displease you. {nm} edzep Dec 20, 10:03

Hey, Al "The $100 Million Dollar Man" says the debate is over, so shush up and follow in lockstep behind all the other mindless drones. Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:06

The majority of the scientific community agree about the climate change. It's the deniers of scientific truth who are the mindless drones. {nm} Antibody Dec 20, 10:30

So daring to have the temerity to ask questions makes me a mindless drone? Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:58

You can ask questions, but science has already given you the answer. Antibody Dec 20, 11:11

We can question, and when we do we are insulted for doing so. Got it. Hooray360 Dec 20, 11:38

You can't legitimately question the earth being round. Come on, man. Unless you are a member of the Flat Earth Society? {nm} firefox Dec 20, 11:49

The entire scientific community used to agree that the Earth was flat. That didn't make it true. {nm} firefox Dec 20, 11:07

No, that was religion, not scientists. {nm} Antibody Dec 20, 11:13

I'd say it was both. Regardless, just because everyone believes it doesn't necessarily make it true. {nm} firefox Dec 20, 11:37

You don't call names when you call those who have the opposite viewpoints from your stereotypical conservative one, "mindless drones"? Facto Dec 20, 10:32

How many years has it been since we have only had ten years to save the planet? Hooray360 Dec 20, 11:01

Perfectly allowed to ask questions, and I support that. I like that we have all kinds of sceptics. But you were talking down on all who are Facto Dec 20, 11:12

But saying I'm a simpleton engaging in rank stupidity, IQ lower than my size, that's not talking down? Hooray360 Dec 20, 11:36

Aren't we changing subject again now? I never mentioned those things, ryking did. I'm not his parrot. Ryking could have measured his choice Facto Dec 20, 11:59

You can ignore Al Gore, but you can't ignore the science. {nm} Antibody Dec 20, 11:15

I never said you had to. I'm just using MY free speech to point out right-wing idiocy. :) {nm} ryking Dec 20, 10:11

Isn't it Climate Change these days? Anyway, the climate always has and always will change. Without man's involvement. {nm} Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:03

Well, living in Toronto, I am certainly glad the climate changed. Otherwise these great lakes would still be under a mile of ice. {nm} firefox Dec 20, 10:06

Since man can change the climate so easily, I'm asking for 72 degrees Farenheit year 'round. {nm} Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:10

You should move to Arequipa, Peru. {nm} firefox Dec 20, 10:14

IOW, you are tolerant of those who follow your limited ideas without question. Gotcha. {nm} Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:19

His limited ideas? Limited how? By scientific logic.. ? {nm} Facto Dec 20, 10:33

Limited by not allowing other views, limited by not allowing questions to be asked, limited by not looking at the original data. Hooray360 Dec 20, 11:03

No one's words are to be taken for granted, and one is always allowed to ask questions. I applaud it. This wasn't about that... ;-) {nm} Facto Dec 20, 13:00

I *love* the religion of AGW. Big snow storms? AGW. Mild winter? AGW. Hot wet summer? AGW. Mild cool summer? AGW. Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:00

There's nothing religious about the science behind global warming/climate change, but your stupidity and self-destructiveness... ryking Dec 20, 10:19

The scientific truth is the opposite of religious faith. {nm} Antibody Dec 20, 10:40

And that is all I'm asking, is the truth. But asking questions is no longer allowed, that makes you a simpleton, stupid, and so forth. Hooray360 Dec 20, 11:05

Ooh, name-calling! I love it. I question your faith and I'm the simpleton. Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:08

You're not questioning my faith, you're belittling scientific fact. Too bad you're not educated. Or capable of thought. {nm} ryking Dec 20, 10:14

Let me know when you think you might be capable of discussing this without having to stoop to childish insults. {nm} Hooray360 Dec 20, 10:18

I have to speak down to your level, and even then you can't understand. Let me know when your IQ is higher than your shoe-size. {nm} ryking Dec 20, 10:20

hmm... should have held onto that {nm} OdysseusG Dec 20, 08:09
