It's one of those BS things. IMAX costs more but people have the choice of seeing it in 2D obviously they see value in 3D. If we are talking
adjusted for inflation and ticket sales then we never need to talk about Box Office again because that all begins and ends with Gone with the Wind. Just do the various platforms that are available and the choices for other entertainment AVATR has a tentative may release on DVD, so it's not even going to play for a year like Star wars did (IIRC).
I think when TITAN was breaking records they were blaming 14 year old girls and their Leo crush. AVATR will get the record and everybody will forget about this and then they we write articles on how no movie will ever beat AVATR.
Mostly it's just people with little to nothing to say that feel they have to say something to show they are apart of this phenomenon.
