to the main character.
many people fell in love with the movies suspense, whereas you grew tired of it because of how you found it repetitive. thats fair.
the majority of the audience appreciated how the people native to the land were portrayed, you seem to find them as nothing more than cardboard cutouts. meh, thats just a battle of visual semantics. whatevs.
but the real victory for the movie for me was the characters relativity to the american serviceman. it was a fitting testament to their duty. its not a calling, or thrillseeking, or a deathwish. its just what they do.
