Disarming explosive devices can be addictive. Cinematography, director... well, it's acceptable. But best film?! And best screenplay?!

The first 20 minutes left me out of breath. But then, over, and over, and over. All the same. Three guys (I can't believe the Americans ever leave the protected zone in just one car, anyway...) against all these Iraqi terrorists, the rest of the Iraqi people just watching, as if they were at the Olympics. Except for one cute little boy, Beckham. And one startled prof (but was his wife an hysteric or a terrorist? do I have to watch the movie again?). And one maybe-not-so-innocent guy, well-dressed, in a real "occidental" costume that is stuffed with padlocks and chains for a total weight of 500 pounds.

How do we say cliche in French? Cliche with an accent aigu.

Please give the Oscar to Avatar (that's Hollywood!) or to Inglorious Basterds - my preference, along with Un prophete (with an accent grave). :P
