It's an interesting concept - I don't know that there's a need for 2W or 3W versions though.
OW - which halts Thursday PM and delists Monday PM - and 4W - which does not halt - (and 8W, to be IPO'd only if it looks like it will run significantly past 4W). The difficulty I see is how to integrate limited releases (presumably 12W) when they pop over 650 theaters at the last minute, as some have done recently. If it only becomes clear that a movie will top 650 theaters the Thursday before release, there's no time to have a real IPO of an OW or 4W before hand. SKipping the OW is ok in those cases, as is done now, but how to deal with the 12W? Does it just convert to a 4W?
