Mary Poppins Thoughts
I would like another Mary Poppins movie, but I do think that it sould never become. You don't want to take a magical and very well put together story and make a sequil to it. You don't want to butcher the essence of Marry Poppins or the two kids, Micheal and Jane. Most of the great movies that have remakes or sequils have not been that good. Take The Home Alone Trilogy. First two were outstanding, the second had different characters, but it had a different family two, which I think saved the movie. The fourth Home Alone sucked. The brought back the original family and Marv, but had different actors playing the original characters. It had a good story line, but like most movies, if you have the original characters with different actors playing them, it most likely won't do as well as what you would think. It is not like a sequil of an animated movie like The Lion King or Mulan. It has real actors, which makes audiences to have mixed feelings on a film. If you make Marry Poppins Returns, I hope it goes great. I do have confidence, and wish you well. Good Luck, will keep a look out.
