INTL market was vastly different for early Potter films, the first didn't get a Chinese release, FB1 did 85 million.
It helps overseas that 3D performance hasn't fallen off as sharply as it has domestically.
A third FB is a done deal, the promised 4th & 5th could be endangered if the third erodes as signficantly as STAR TREK BEYOND did for example.
Other possible options is burn off 4 & 5 as WB's streaming service exclusives, Force Awakens rebootquel them with the core Potter films trio making significant appearances (2021 is the 20th Anniversary of The Sorcerors Stone film) or outright just making some kind of Cursed Child style feature follow-up.
I would be shocked if there isn't SOME kind of "Wizarding World" WB Streaming Service exclusive feature or TV continuation unless The Mandalorian/Rogue One series totally bomb. There is a whole division of WB that is focused on the Wizarding World franchise at the moment.
