A lot changes in a year...now w HBO max as well...even more getting accustomed to sitting on the couch...
There is no guarantee such numbers ever return, as young people are very accustomed to streaming...the days of mass amounts preferring the theater, I think diminish...does not go up. So we're some of those responses pandemic induced, or how they normally feel ? And...after another year...with even more options from home...which way do things point ? So...I doubt strong majorities will prefer the theater...not in the current form....not for a long time...imo. (if theaters become like a special occasion VIP imax, and you go twice a year for an event film then people might then say they prefer it...maybe if theaters change over 20 years.). But more % is streaming....right now more prefer it...not just from the pandemic either imo. Things have flipped. But maybe around a 50/50 split can happen...so hybrid models will serve both. Imo.
