Margin expansion is a big one.

Netflix could stop licensing and making new content, stop marketing, lose the majority of their subscribers, and be far more profitable than they are today. AOL still makes nearly $200 million/year from people who have never bothered to cancel their accounts. This is likely why Netflix still does DVDs by mail, but doesn't allow new subscribers to it; most of the existing accounts don't use it, it's just a cash cow.
